Luton – Vauxhall’s British-built Vivaro was the UK’s best-selling van in October.

The British brand sold 3,041 Vivaro last month to achieve top spot. It was also the Vivaro’s best performance in terms of market share in five years (12.2 per cent of the UK LCV Market last month). With over 4,000 Vauxhall vans sold last month, it was a 35 per cent increase on October 2018 and 5.25 percentage point increase in market share.

In showrooms now, Vauxhall’s all-new Vivaro van is a based on a state-of-the-art platform and available in two lengths (L1H1 4.95m and L2H1 5.30m).  Body styles include panel van, doublecab for up to six occupants and a platform chassis.

Through three generations, the Vivaro has been a sales sensation, selling over 290,000 in the UK since 2001.  Vauxhall is also the UK’s largest light commercial vehicle manufacturer with over one million Vivaro-type vans built at its Luton plant, since production started in 2001.

Next year, Vauxhall will launch the new Vivaro-e next year, the pure battery electric version of its best-selling medium van. Following the addition of the all-electric Corsa-e and plug-in hybrid Grandland X Hybrid4 to its product range, the Vivaro-e marks the next chapter in Vauxhall’s electrification strategy.  In addition, an electric variant of the Combo Cargo will be added in 2021.
